The File menu shows a list of recently opened documents. This can include files from a previous session. You can restore a backed up document. By default, backups of open files are saved automatically. See more information below.
To restore backups:
- From the File menu, select Restore backup. All backed up files will open.
- In the Open backup files window, select the backup file you want to open.
- Click on Open.
That's not quite how they find their lost files.
There are really two ways. One is if they have saved their file, Maple has an autosave function, so they have to use file->recent documents->restore Backup. Here they see a list of the files they have most recently used.
If you have been careless enough to forget to save. So you are working in a maple file called untittled. Here you need to use the same file-Restore Backup. A prompt opens and you can sort the files to display by date and select the latest version.
